The BricsCAD® format available on the TraceParts CAD-content platform
Designers who use the TraceParts platform can now download millions of components in the BricsCAD® format.
Saint-Romain, France, 28 February 2018 - TraceParts, one of the worlds leading providers of 3D digital content for engineering, has teamed up with Bricsys®, a company that designs, produces and markets innovative Computer-Aided-Design software all over the world, in order to enable the platforms users to download CAD models in BricsCAD format.
BricsCAD® provides innovative solutions for 2D drawing, 3D direct modelling, sheet-metal design and building information modelling (BIM). All the products sold by the brand are based on the .dwg file standard. This gives the BricsCAD format a significant advantage in interdisciplinary collaboration because it has all the usual features of the .dwg format.
BricsCAD® users can now download CAD models of components from hundreds of supplier catalogs on www.traceparts.com and can incorporate them directly in their design software. This new format supplements the 60 other CAD formats already available on the TraceParts CAD-content platform.
