Your company will be launching a new product in the PAC Machinery booth, what is it that makes PACK Expo an important event for your company?

PACK EXPO is the premier event for operators looking for solutions to their most serious problems: a reduced labor force, and injuries from dangerous work. With ever-complicated supply chain challenges, the need to stay ahead of issues is paramount to customer success. Leaders from large corporations to mom-and-pop shops will be looking for how they can make their operations more robust.

What makes the PAC Machinery booth a must visit for PACK EXPO attendees?

We will be in the PAC Machinery booth (W-2344). PAC Machinery is a leader in the automatic bagging space and was the first company to display paper bagging as an option on a bagging machine. By offering the ability to run both paper and poly on their machines, end-users have the flexibility to adapt their sustainability measures. Adding a robot that can perceive virtually any CPG item gives companies the option for a pick-to-bag solution that is going to be truly unique and special on the floor.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what will you be most interested to see? Any educational sessions, pavilions, etc. you plan on attending?

It will be interesting to see how the current supply chain challenges, such as labor and injury, are informing new innovations like our bagging system.

Packaging and material handling is undertaking rapid advancements, be it automation, robotics and of course AI. How is your company’s services and products utilizing AI now to improve business?

CMES Robotics utilizes AI Vision to perceive millions of SKUs. There is no need for complex CAD training or uploads. For end-users this means we are ready to begin working right out of the box. For physical robotics, AI is a game changer that enhances the speed at which automation can be carried out.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for robotics and material handling.

The future of robotics and material handling is sustainable. As an industry we have been focused on implementing systems and making sure we get it right. The next step is ensuring that the work being done not only improves our lives but also protects the environment for future generations.
