Bodkin Design Unveils Unique Snapshot Hyperspectral Products Through Exclusive Partnership With Cubert

Bodkin Design and Engineering, LLC will team with Cubert Gmbh at Photonics West 2017 for a presentation and product demo to showcase their patented snapshot spectral imaging for precision agriculture, medical and biotech, machine vision, and more.

High speed hyperspectral imaging is now available in North America through collaboration between Cubert Gmbh and Bodkin Design & Engineering, LLC; and will be demonstrated at the 2017 Photonics West show in San Francisco. The system is used extensively in UAVs for precision agriculture, and by other researchers, agronomists, geologists, chemists, and manufacturers to deliver unprecedented datasets for chemical analysis, quality control, pollution monitoring and more.

Snapshot hyperspectral technology allows spectral and spatial information to be collected simultaneously into a 3-dimensional dataset or as a video stream yielding a 4-dimensional dataset. Snapshot spectral imaging can be accomplished in many ways; however, the patented Hyperpixel Arrayâ„¢ method employed in the Cubert FireflEYEâ„¢ system benefits users with its ability to collect spectral information without temporal or spatial disparity that plagues scanning slit or filter array instruments.
"With this collaboration, BD&E now offers a full line of hyperspectral products utilizing not only the Hyperpixel Arrayâ„¢ (HPA), but also graded filters, filter arrays, filter wheels, and multiple focal plane technologies. Instruments are now available covering a variety of wavelengths from ultraviolet to longwave infrared as a complement to our customized engineering solution services." says Andrew Bodkin, principal of Bodkin Design.
"Positive North American response to our product line debut earlier this year warrants additional joint marketing efforts to jumpstart 2017 business," says Kevin Lynch, Cuberts Director of Global Sales. "That includes exhibiting and speaking at Photonics West, as well as client visits and a week of presentations on both coasts." Bodkin Design is the exclusive distributor of Cubert products in North America, a partnership which began earlier this year to address the global hyperspectral imaging market opportunity which has a compound growth rate of 12% per year.
We invite you to join the principals of Cubert and Bodkin at booth #4044 at Photonics West (January 31 - Feb 2, 2017) to learn more about how snapshot hyperspectral can help you succeed. Be sure not to miss the Cubert product demo! (Demo Area 2 - Hall D North 1/31/17, 4PM)

TM Robotics - Shibaura Machine THE SCARA range

The THE range from Shibaura Machine is an extensive line up of SCARA robots. Available in four arm lengths THE400 (400mm), THE600 (600mm) and the most recent THE800 (800mm) and THE1000 (1000mm), this range is suitable for assembly, handling, inspection and pick and place processes in varied industrial applications. The THE1000 boasts a 20kg payload capacity and an impressive 0.44 second cycle time, providing high speeds for processes with large components. In fact, the range has been recognised for as the price-to-performance leader compared to other SCARA models in its price range due to its impressive speed versus payload capacity.
