Booth #4211 - Vendors will want to stop by to see Epson Force Guidance technology, the T6 SCARA Robot Dispense Demonstration, and the LS3 Force Feeder Demonstration.

Talking ATX West with Epson Robots

Tell us about your company.

For over 35 years, Epson Robots has lead the industry in small parts assembly applications and has pioneered many industry firsts, including PC-based controls and compact SCARA robots. Our focus is building robots and automation products that support the manufacturing strategies put in place by the top manufacturers around the world.

Your company will be exhibiting at ATX & Design & Manufacturing West, what is it that makes this an important event for your company?

This blend of events is one of the premier industry shows where we can connect with our great partners, customers, and new potential customers on the west coast. We want to share expertise to help manufacturers support their automation efforts, and demonstrate solutions that can help them compete on a worldwide basis for manufacturing.

Highlight a 2 or 3 products you will be showcasing at the event?

Vendors will want to stop by to see Epson Force Guidance technology, the T6 SCARA Robot Dispense Demonstration, and the LS3 Force Feeder Demonstration.

When you get a chance to walk the exhibit hall floor yourself, what is it you will be most interested to see?  Any educational sessions, pavilions etc. you plan on attending?

We’ll be attending on-site events and touring the show floor looking at industry trends, meeting with our partners at the event, and looking for future partners as well.

The factory floor is undertaking rapid advancements, be it automation, robotics, machine vision or data.  The Automation Technology is a huge part for many manufacturers, give us an idea on how your company and product is being utilized now in the smart factory.

For many smaller manufacturers we’ve been working with who are just getting started with automation, our Synthis T-Series All-in-One SCARA robot has enabled them to get projects up and running successfully that were previously thought to be too cost prohibitive or time consuming. Advanced manufacturers, as well, are using Epson Force Sensing and Vision Guidance systems on the high-end to automate applications they previously thought could not be automated.

Give us your thoughts on what the future holds for manufacturers and automation technology.

Our view is that the future is about productivity and smarter overall solutions. Automation technology will become both more accessible, and practical, because solutions are becoming less complicated and easier to use. It also means the time between realizing the need for automation and getting the solution running will become shorter and shorter – allowing quicker ROI and less waiting for solutions to be built once a manufacturer decides they want to automate.
