CES 16 - Robotics Marketplace At CES® 2016 Sees Huge Growth & Expansion

The Robotics Marketplace at CES 2016 will see a whopping 71 percent growth in exhibit space over CES 2015.

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Dec. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Robotics Marketplace at CES 2016 will see a whopping 71 percent growth in exhibit space over CES 2015. Presented by Robotics Trends, visitors of the marketplace will have the opportunity to mingle with more than 20 exhibitors showcasing intelligent, autonomous machines that are changing the way we live: at work, at school, at the doctor's office and at home. They are connected to the cloud, controllable by mobile devices and capable of seeing, hearing and reacting to the environment in ways once thought impossible.

"Robots can increasingly move, see, hear, sense and react to the environment," said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Associationâ„¢ (CTA), formerly the Consumer Electronics Association. "Robots will change how we approach our daily lives. We expect to see this category expand on the CES show floor, improve lives and help transform the consumer technology industry."

Located at CES' Tech West within the Sands Level 2, the Robotics Marketplace will be available to explore January 6-9, 2016. A few of the robotics companies that will be on display include Nidec Corporation, ECOVACS Robotics, Robocare Co., Ninebot Inc., and Future Robot Co. among many others.

"It's like an invasion from within," said Steve Crowe, Managing Editor of Robotics Trends. "…drones that were once scarce now proliferate; 3D printers, once just about invisible, now pack in throngs of the curious; while robot floor vacs, lawn mowers, pool cleaners, telepresence robots, even driverless BMWs are more than obvious to everyone."

While perusing all that CES has to offer, don't miss the Robotics conference track, also presented by Robotics Trends. On Friday, January 8, 2016, attendees will get a first look at the latest robots entering the market and learn from experts about the specific ways that robots are redefining the consumer experience and pushing back the boundaries of innovation. And with expert speakers hailing from Google, Carnegie Mellon University, Yamaha, Lux Research and more, this promises to be the can't miss conference of CES.
