Analysis of Text Processing Function of GstarCAD2012 Extended Version
Gstarsoft released GstarCAD2012 Extended Version, the EX version provides powerful and flexible text processing functions.
To CAD designers, texts are usually ignored as a design element. Comparing to professional text processing software such as Word, the text function of CAD software is not very powerful. So, many designers have to complete the text processing by other software. However, errors may occur if its compatibility is not suitable with each other and waste time.
To meet the requirements of users, Gstarsoft released GstarCAD2012 Extended Version, the EX version provides powerful and flexible text processing functions:
1. TextMatch
When designers are using CAD software, the styles of texts are often different. Especially when the texts are copied from other documents, the styles are possibly much different from what designers expected. In Word, users often choose "Format Painter" to match styles of the texts. But most of CAD software doesn't have the function of "Format Painter".
So, GstarCAD2012 Extended Version has added "TextMatch" tool, it will not only help designers match texts in drawings quickly but also provide some selections such as: content, color angle and so on). All of these functions eliminate the complicated steps of text adjustment separately.
2. TextAlign
Generally speaking, in most of CAD software, the align function are too simple to meet the requirements of huge amount and complicated alignment. Designers have to adjust them manually.
GstarCAD2012 Extended Version also added TextAlign tool to align multiple texts along X or Y axis. Moreover, because this function is only effective on texts, so, even if designers select other objects mistakenly, GstarCAD2012 EX version will filter them.
3. ChangeText
In CAD designing, the changing of format of texts always exists. Designers have to revise the original text, once it happens to them. However, a huge amount of text revision will waste much time and it is just replication work and boring.
For this reason, GstarCAD2012 Extended Version provides the ChangeText tool; it allows users to batch revise multiple texts. For example, this function can modify the alignment, height, width, position, rotation, style and content of several texts simultaneously. It greatly improves the efficiency of single text and Mtext modifications.
